The FRIEND AMIGO LAC Project is currently developing the following research projects:

• Hydrological Data Base Regional System
  
  
• Drought Surveillance and Diagnosis Regional System
  
  
• Regionalization of Daily Maximum Precipitation and Flow Values and Development of Regional Enfolding Curves
  
  
• Variability and Climatic Change in Latin America and the Caribbean
  

On the other hand, active participation is maintained in the coordination of the “IHP LAC Integrated Data Base System” projects, developed under the coordination of the International Centre for Hydroinformatics and the Consultative Disaster Group, and cooperation activities are being pursued with CAZALAC in the comparison and assessment of methods for the analysis of drought processes in various geographic environments; work is also being done with the IFI Project in the drafting of methodologies for the development of regional maximum precipitation and flow enfolding curves.
